Cyprus 2024 Silver Proof coin Accession to the European Union

On the national side of the coin Cyprus is depicted as a power of creation and 
development within the European environment, which is symbolised by the building of 
the European Commission in Brussels. The Earth’s globe also appears, symbolising the 
geopolitical importance of Cyprus and its contribution to people’s peace and prosperity. 
The building appears graphically stylised, emphasising the strong symbolism of the 
European Union. The coin has been designed by George Stamatopoulos and was 
minted at the Printing Works Department of the Bank of Greece.

This commemorative coin, of nominal value €5, in proof condition, is issued by the 
Central Bank of Cyprus in a limited edition of 2.000 pieces, placed in cases.
