Issued to mark the 250th Anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence, this remarkable 1oz Silver Coin has already proven one of the standout commemorative releases of the year.

Adopted on 4th July 1776, the Declaration of Independence marked the birth of the United States and established principles of liberty and self-government that continue to resonate around the world today.

Designed by Royal Mint Chief Engraver Gordon Summers, the reverse features a powerful combination of a quill pen and American eagle - symbols of the ideas, signatures and determination that shaped a nation. Adding further significance, the coin's edge bears the inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM ("Out of Many, One"), a motto synonymous with American unity.

What makes this release particularly distinctive is its special incuse finish. Rather than being raised above the surface, elements of the design are engraved into the coin, creating remarkable depth and a unique appearance inspired by the engraved documents of the era. This is the first time The Royal Mint have ever done this.

Struck from one ounce of fine silver and presented in official Royal Mint packaging, this limited edition of just 3,500 worldwide is a fitting tribute to one of history's most influential documents.
